3. A machine consisting of an endless belt with scoops attached, used for raising grain to an upper storey for storage.
4. A piece of metal used to go to work in big buildings, mostly found in old and bureaucratic corporations.

Elevator Antwerp is committed to creating strong, carefully considered concepts. We value quality over continuity and return only when a new concept is fully developed. Remaining in one location can feel static. Our aim is to make art more accessible and relevant to our generation, which is why changing locations is an essential part of our approach. We primarily organise group exhibitions, as we believe in the strength of bringing different networks together and in the dialogue that emerges between contrasting artistic styles. These combinations create spaces that feel layered, dynamic and unexpected.
Elevator began in 2025 with development and landed in April 2026 with it’s first concept in Nadya Kotova Gallery: Who Burried Barry In The Elevator. We used 4 points of interest supported by light and sound to create incentives for our brain. A giant lift was built in the gallery on the Pourbusstraat.
Barry was a young corporate wolf who took the elevator to work every day. At work, Barry was becoming demotivated by unnecessary processes and bureaucratic structures. Barry felt ignored. Barry felt unnecessary.
One day, Barry was found in the elevator.
